Breastfeeding & Babywearing
Babywearing facilitates breastfeeding beautifully!
Having a baby close in your slings makes it much easier to nurse on cue which stimulates milk production. It also makes growth spurts easier for mom when your baby spends much of their day at the breast to have the extra support of the sling.
For premature babies a sling or wrap creates the perfect option for Kangaroo Care. Bare skin to skin contact between Mom and Baby helps to regulate baby’s temperature and helps your baby to grow strong from essential human touch. A baby that is held close is more likely to latch on well and is able to show cues when he/she is ready to feed.
Having a sling helps you to nurse on the go. Being able to nurse anytime or anywhere makes life much easier outside of the house.
Being able to nurse hands free makes it easier to care for your other children and yourself.
Babes in slings tend to nurse more often because of such close contact, this in turn helps establish an excellent milk supply.
